| Knut |
Have you heard about Polar bear named Knut? I guess my European friends know about this bear...or? It's been lots written about him
and he overshaded all political going on in Berlin few weeks ago!
The Polar bear was born in Berlin and after his birth, his parents abandoned him. After giving birth last year, his mother abandoned Knut and his twin brother. The keepers rescued them and raised the cubs themselves. Only Knut survived after spending 44 days in an incubator.
Now, a week ago if I'm correct, he went in front of public for the first time. There are quite some
people who supposed to like animals and protect them, who want that people at the ZOO would
put this cute bear to sleep.
I couldn't believe it when I read it? How can someone who supposed to protect animals say anything like this?!?!
I know that many animals should not be in the ZOO, since it's kind of jail for them, not having enough of space etc., but on the other hand, ZOOs seems like saving thing for some spicies and polar bears are on of them! There are only 20.000 polar bears on Earth and the number is getting lower and lower each other - like for many other animals!
I however have been to ZOO in Berlin and can say that they are providing LOTS of space for animals there and are taking very good care of them, keeping all animals and their places as nature as possible and very clean. :)
I hope this cutie will get a nice home in ZOO in Berlin and hopefully they won't put him to sleep!

To protect by killing him???? Did they really mean it? I have herad abt the fuss over Knut but this is crazy, and I cannot understand poewple who wanted to do this to him!!!

Yes, I know...how can someone who supposed to protect animals suggest to kill it??? It's very hard to believe ha, and not logical at all!!!
